Chef Roy, owner, entrepreneur
Roy Marshall is a classically trained chef who loves to impart his knowledge and love of cooking to everyone.
Chef Roy has built two successful food businesses. One here in Austin, Gourmet Texas Pasta, with 17 varieties of healthy fresh vegetable and herb pasta varieties. And previously in Mesa Arizona, The SalsaKing Fine SouthWestern Foods where he developed over 120 unique products including three National Award winning Championship Salsas. Pepitas y Camarones, the most unique salsa in the world with pumpkin seeds and shrimp; Flaming Green Garlic Passion, packed with oven roasted garlic, tomatillos and Hatch Jalapenos, a Scovie award winner; and Chipotle Black Bean and Corn Salsa that was chosen as the official Salsa of the 2005 International Salsa Festival in California.
Chef Roy's career has been diverse, including restaurant management, lowly commie in the one of the most successful French Restaurants in Arizona, Master Craftsman making hand built hardwood furniture, Mill Forman at a large Hardwood Custom Mill facility, award winning ceramicist, manager for AT&T DSL Technical Support, tier 3 Tech Support Technician for Time Warner Cable, Restaurant Reviewer, Entrepreneur with two food manufacturing businesses, and his time spent perfecting his passion while at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute.
Since the age of 17 Chef Roy has ground his own wheat just before baking his breads fresh to insure they are wholesome and packed with nutrients. Chef Roy has devoted his life to healthy cooking, learning about nutrition and letting people know the dangers of the FDA and adulterated food products. Chef Roy willingly imparts his extensive knowledge about nutrition, herbal health, and poisons in our food supply, just email questions to him to learn the real story.
The Crew
- Marla, sales guru, she sells our pasta at many of the shows, she and her husband have tons of ideas to make quick and delightful pasta meals.
- Debbie, Kim's sister in law sells at many shows for us and is a wealth of knowledge. And she knows a lot about pasta too!!!!
- Sean, Kim's husband. Starting selling pasta and now wants to quite his 9 to 5 and do nothing but sell pasta. Hey, who can blame him!
- David Oliverio, my personal trainer, and a personal trainer that is available to those that want to get fit and live a life of health and vitality. We have very similar views on health and diet and he just started selling pasta for me on weekends. - Elena, Kim's niece, a part time lady that is going to Texas Tech (Yeah) to be an engineer. She has been invaluable to us here, and we look forward to her leaving to do great things in the world. But that is down the road, and so we just love her company at the store, and selling at shows.
- Kevin, Kim's nephew. A track star extraordinaire in Pflugerville, he helps us make the world's finest pasta.
- Scotty, Working hard is his middle name and he helps make the best pasta in the world.
- Patrick, our father to be is young, and caring and loves making the world's finest pasta
